I went to the North Georgia Mountains for 2 days this week. The leaves were already turning beautiful fall colors.
We hiked Tallulah Gorge.
We spent the night at the Sky Valley Resort
We hiked some more to the falls in Sky Valley.
We saw Goats on the Roof!
Leaf season is finally here! Cooler evenings and shorter days are just now bringing fall color to the mountains. According to forestry experts, the dogwoods, sourwoods and black gums are at or near peak. Many poplars have turned brown and lost some leaves. Maples are turning red and yellow and will continue to be colorful for a few weeks. Hickories are starting to turn, with a few individual trees already a bright yellow.
