Two pairs in Paris

We spent the weekend in Paris with Jay & Amy! The weather was beautiful, and Sunday was outright blazing!

Jay and Amy checking out the display on their awesome new camera

On Saturday we took the Rick Steves Historic Walking Tour of Paris which brought us by Notre Dame, The Deportation memorial, Sainte Chapelle, and the Conciergerie (where Marie Antoinette was imprisoned). We spent the afternoon at the Musee d'Orsay.

This polar bear statue was my favorite.

Rocky took a break to hang out with the young Aristotle.

After a delicious dinner we walked along the Seine to the Eiffel Tower and took a night cruise up and down the river.

Maria and Amy during dinner.

The obiligatory Eiffel Tower photo. The sky was pretty, no?

We spent most of Sunday in the Louvre (yes, we saw Mona) and walked around the Tuileries Gardens in the blazing heat before catching our train back to Metz.

Rocky engaged this guy in some deep theological discussions.

This coming weekend we're planning to take a trip through the Rhine Valley in Germany!
